The APAC project is scientific in its approach when it
comes to program planning. All programs of APAC are preceded by a through needs
assessment to understand the context- physical, social, economic of area /
community. Programs are designed based on the needs assessment. Every program/
activity and strategy is evaluated and finding used for providing direction for
the program. T.I. programs have inbuilt base-line and end-term assessments to
track the progress in programs.
The needs assessment and the evaluation studies are scientific in design and
extensive. Apart from these studies, APAC has contributed immensely to the
knowledge bank by undertaking large scale research on various components of
STI/HIV/AIDS intervention programs like:
